I can't seem to get properties for any files when I right-
click them. Does anyone know the component I need to add?

You might want to try this:

Go to "Settings" on the "User Interface Core" component in
Target Designer and under "User Interface Settings" try
ticking "Show context menu on Shell folders" and "Show
context menu on Task bar."
