Properties for individual emails

If I receive an email in Outlook and then using the 'edit message' function,
amend that message, will the date and time of the amendment show in the email
properties?

I've been told that the 'email modified' information in the email properties
only relates to the date the email was opened and does not update the date
and time if I amend the email - is this correct?

Thanks for your help!

Vince, thanks for your reply. Is there anywhere I can find this information
for definite/in wiriting as I need it to show I made changes to an email on a
particular date/time?

I'll look around but I've tested it and any change results in the mod date
changing.

Thanks again Vince! Your answer is what is thought, but I need it in print
to prove it definately. Do you know if this would be in the outlook
programme help or user guide?

Vicky.

No you don't. Just add the Modified field to your view, then make the change
you describe. If the Modified field changes, you've proven it. Experimental
data is much better proof than seeing it in writing. What's in writing often
doesn't match what actually happens.
