I have Word 2007 running on Windows Vista Ultimate (All in English). I need
the German proofing tools, so I downloaded and installed the German Language
pack, whish is available for free through Windows Updates , but I can,t for
the life of me figure out how to get the German proofing tools to appear in
Word 2007. The only languages with checkboxes next to them in the Review tab
are English, French and Spanish. Can anyone please help me. I need the German
Spellchecker!!!!

I already have the German single-language pack.I downloaded the German
Language pack that is available for free for Windows Vista Ultimate users (it
is one of the "Extras" that comes with Windows Vista ultimate
http://windowsultimate.com/Blogs/Extras/Default.aspx). I just can,t figure
out where are the proofing tools located in the language Pack. Surely they
must be there somewhere. I am able to make my whole Windows interface
German, but this is not what i need; i only need the German spellchecker. How
can I get the proofing tools to appear in my Word 2007, once I have installed
the German SLP?

I may be wrong about this, but I don't think the Windows Vista
language pack includes the Office proofing tools -- it's strictly for
modifying the user interface. The proofing tools are at the location I
mentioned before.
