Prompt for user name/password when going to websites

Internet Explorer 6 running on Windows XP is prompting for
user name/password when going to different websites. It
doesn't do it all the time. I know it's not the website
because if I access it from a different computer it works
fine without prompting. Any suggestions?
 
Check you connection settings in IE and make sure "Alwys
dial my defult connection" is NOT selected.
