Prompt for department code before printing

My company would like to configure our Windows server to prompt for a
department accounting code prior to submitting a print job to the server,
especially on our color laser printer. It would help keep track of which
departments have used the printer and who should pay their part of the
consumables.

Anyone know how to do this on a Windows 2000 server or know a third-party
solution?
