Projector conection

when i connect a projector to the rear of my lap top and
switch on, the picture is displayed on both the lap top
and through the projector up until the log on screen
appears then the picture is lost from the projector. I
have tried connecting another monitor and the same
occurs. I am therefore unable to switch from monitor to
monitor. Tried reinstalling drivers etc with no result..
any suggestions as to why the laptop initially recognises
the projector then later doesnt and of course how to
rectify same.

After you logon you are using another profile.

On our laptops we have had to use the Function key and
the F8 key to toggle between the 3 settings (Laptop only,
Projector only, and both) it takes about 10 seconds for
the changes to take place so don't get impaitent.

You should only have to do this once to set up the
profile as to what is displayed.
