project will not save as a PROJECT

hi,

i've perused some of the info regarding troubleshooting when your project
will not save as a movie, however, movie maker 2 is not saving my (which
saved previously) even the project. This is my first time using movie maker
and I'm not so keen on the byte conversion, so i would appreciate some help.
The error message says that there isn't enough memory. I have 245,232 KB of
available physical memory, should that be enough (the size of the project is
5.74 MB)? Is the answer simply to change my viritual memory or paging file
(or are they the same?)? Do i need more RAM? Does anyone have any
suggestions? I use Windows Xp home edition version 5.1.

Thanks.

Disconnecting from the net and closing
all programs...especially virus scanners
before you open Movie Maker may help.

Also...maintenance may help:

Running Disk Cleanup, Error Checking and
Defrag on a regular schedule is a good idea.

(check the two boxes..."Automatically fix file

the next time you restart your computer.

no errors)

More RAM is always a good idea and
