Saving a project (.mswmm) to a film (.wmv)?

I encountered a problem with saving a project as a film. I downloaded a
Charlie Chaplin clip from YouTube as a .wmv using Zamzar. I then edited the
file using Movie Maker. However, I was not able to save the project (.mswmm)
as a film (.wmv--"not able to save to the specified location). I don't have
this problem with any other video, thus I suspect it might be a permission
issue. Or perhaps a Zamzar subscription is required (I used their free
service). Any help would be appreciated. The edited project is very cool,
and I would hate for it to be consigned to "project" status.

Might sound dumb but I would import the .wmv file into
Windows Media Encoder and convert it to .wmv. The new
version of the .wmv file may work better for you in Movie
Maker.

How to convert .wmv to .wmv
using Windows Media Encoder

Open Windows Media Encoder

On the New Session screen / Wizards tab...
choose...Convert a file / OK

On the File Selection screen...browse to the
..wmv Source File you wish to convert

Also browse to and select a save folder and
enter a name for your converted file /
Save button / Next

On the Content Distribution screen I usually
choose 'File Archive' / Next / Finish.

When you see the 'Encoding Results' screen
the task is complete.
