Programs won't work

Somehow some programs were accidently deleted on my
computer. Now I can not access anything unless I right
click and then click "Run As".

Windows XP was already loaded on my computer when it was
purchased (therefore, I do not have any disc's).

If I install a new program (ie, Office 2003), will this
make matters worse or solve my problem? Thank you!

If you log in with Administrator privileges, all should be ok.

If you have recovery disks, Windows as well as all the preloaded programs will be on
those disks. If you don't have these disks, march down to where you bought the
computer and insist on your getting a recovery disk, then do a repair.

What happens if you try to run something normally? Do you get an error message? It sounds like maybe something in your profile became corrupted. You might want to try creating a new account and see if programs run normally under it.
