Programs wont open

Certain programs wont open like Windows media player i click the icon on desktop or in start menu and nothing happens. ive already scanned for viruses.
 
Hi Jon,

Have you tried repairing the .lnk file association? There is a quickie fix
on www.dougknox.com under WinXP Fixes/File association fixes.
