Programs open, run, close slow.

Hi everyone...When I open a program it takes it time to load, once loaded and
I click on a command it processess slowly & what seems like freezes or hangs,
but then will complete the task, and then when I close the program it again
closes slowly. This can be with any program. Can someone provide me some
insight as to what may be going on? I've scanned several times for viruses
and spyware and come up clean everytime. Thanks.

Hi Craig,

Inspect the running processes, and see how much CPU time and Memory each one
takes. One of which may be hogging the resources. Try Process Explorer from
Sysinternals:
