Programs No Longer Work

I had a problem with the SASSER worm. I got it all
cleaned up. Used the MS Protect my PC website and turned
on the firewall in XP. Ever since I did that hardly any
programs on my computer work. Everything from the
desktop icons to the XP help & Support Center in the
start menu. I keep getting pop ups that tell me
whatever .exe file I need for that program can not be
found. Any ideas?

Go to Kellys site

EXE File Association Fix for Windows XP

This download restores the default File Association for
EXE files. Download the REG file here and save it to
your hard drive. Double click the file you just saved
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be
viewed in Notepad by right clicking the file and
selecting Edit
