Programs have disappeared

Some of my programs seemed to have disappeared from the All programs area on
my Vista Home Premium laptop. These are namely Windows Calendar, Windows
Media Centre and the Sniping tool. They cant even be found by running a
search..!!! Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can recover these
seemingly 'lost' programs?

Start typing the name in the Search field in the bottom left of the Start
Menu. Ro save time you don't have to type "Windows" on the ones I tested,
