In my add/remove programs I have 2 entries for J2SE Runtime environment. One
being the Update 2 and the other Update 6. Can I remove update 2 and have
evrything still running stable?
Also, I have 2 entries for .NET framework, 1.1 and 2.0. Same question
apllies here. Can I remove the older one and have continue to 2.0 work fine?

Thanks for your help in advance.

With the Java, my preference would be to remove both entries and install the
latest version from Sun:

With .Net it is a different story - some applications use .Net 1.1 and some
applications use .Net 2.0. You want to keep both versions on your system.
Visit Windows Update to make sure you have the latest patches for both.

Ok.. and what would be recommened for Quicktime?... lol, sorry, I'm just
cleaning out my computer a bit and this (Quicktime) is the last program that
I'm unsure of what I should do with.... Can other programs do what it can do,
while taking less resources?

Quicktime doesn't take up a lot of resources. I use MPlayer, but I don't
know if it is available for Windows. There isn't any problem using
Quicktime; just go into its preferences and uncheck the automatic update
and in the browser tab, uncheck the tray icon.
