Program Updates

I've had to install a program update by clicking on
yes...and i've been getting calls from friends that i've
helped alittle in making there computers more safe by
installing antispy for them. Why do we need to decide if
the program update should be installed or not?? I usually
get all my updates for antispy automatic. I'm just
wondering if the program updates are safe when they come
to us this way. p.s. I already installed the new update
and told all my friends to do the same..Hope I did'nt get
tricked by a hacker ...

No, its safe, its just that the program is offering convenience so you can
do the Update Refresh at your own time. The Update Refresh is not to fix any
vulnerabilities in Microsoft AntiSpyware, just for common annoyances that
have been plaguing users, such as the Flying toast issue and Scheduling
scans.

Hi Michael,

Attached is a screenshot of what I saw on my computers for the update.
Difference being this was a program update rather than just definitions.
