Program to fix .zip files?

I am looking for a free program that can (try to) repair .zip files.
Do you know of any freeware to do this?

I have two files in my archive:

- searecovery.zip
- bszipins.exe

Admittedly I've never needed to use either, so I can't comment on their
functionality.

Not strictly speaking freeware, but I think WinRar can recover non-corrupted
files out of a corrupted zip.

One has to realize that fixing a zip usually cannot completely restore
the original files, it can only make many files readable. It doesn't work
well for exe files, only for txt files and such files which can be
valuable even if not every byte is correct.

Here's one that I've used with great success:

Zip File Repair Utility - very small - only 76.2 kb- no installation required.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page under Tweaking Guides and small programmes to
download.

I know. It's because I have some old data in ZIP files that somehow became
corrupted.
