Freeware alternative for WindowBlinds?

Hi!

Does someone here knows any freeware alternative to the WindowBlinds program?

WindowBlinds is used to change desktop styles (not themes).

Sort of like an alternative shell, but a bit different, as WindowBlinds can
skin windows, menus and such.

I am mainly looking for the window skinning features -- so I can make Win 98
more 'user friendly' to people that only know Windows XP.

I tried various alternative shells but they're not quite what I want.

scroll down to Desktop Architect, it might be what you're looking for.

Already a start.
I remember using Desktop Architect but I lost it when I changed the hard drive.

Thank you!

Have a look at ShellWM:

I haven't tried it myself yet, but they seem to be on their way to
providing a decent open source alternative to WindowsBlinds.
