program shuts down windows xp

windows xp sp1a on p4 intel motherboard 512 mb sd ram


problem is that i have downloaded system mechanic professional 4 .. when I
enter UserID and serial and hit ok, it shuts down my machine...and on reboot
the program is not registered ... I tried to contact them but no reply ..


how do i stop a program from shutting down the machine ? [ home pc .. i
have all the rights of admin ]

as admin is it possible ?
