I know it's a strange question, but where are the progman
settings saved in Win2k Pro? They used to be contained in
progman.ini on previous versions of Windows.

Any ideas?

Most likely in the registry, like everything else.

First place I looked. Can't find it tho....

You can use this little trick to find out:

- Start regedit
- Navigate to HKLM
- Save the the HKLM branch in Win98 format, filename=before.reg
- Make a change to the property that you wish to isolate
- Save the the HKLM branch in Win98 format, filename=after .reg
- Use fc.exe to compare before.reg with after.reg

With some luck you can isolate the key that changed.
