Program list in start menu

I

internetdonkey

I have lost the full list of my programs at startup. I have checked in
Add/Remove and they are all still there but I only have a shortened list on
my start page.
I recently installed IE8 which also seems to have deleted the content of old
emails in WLM. I have reverted IE7 but nothing has changed.
Please help,
Albert

Hello,

Do you have personalized menus enabled? Click the button at the bottom (it
is a arrow pointing downwards) when you open the All Programs menu.

Or just disable Personalized menus: Start > Control Panel > Taskbar and
Start Menu > Start Menu > Customize > UNCHECK Use Personalized Menus

Thanks for your help but when I open the All Programs menu there is no arrow
pointing downward.
Also in the Taskbar Start menu under customize there is no Use Personalized
Menus that I can uncheck,
Albert

The shortcuts are stored at the following locations:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

and

C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Start Menu\Programs

Take a look there and see if the shortcuts actually exist.
