Program keeps re-appearing no matter

what I seem to do.

I installed a program called cookiewall from a reputable shareware
site and after a few weeks decided to uninstall it.

It didn't have its own install program so I used add/remove from CPL
and then followed by deleting what was left of the directory in
program files folder.

It still showed in msconfig and on lower right taskbar so I went
through REGEDIT and deleted everything from AnalongX (the company) and
programs referring to cookiewall. I went to msconfig and unchecked the
box and the key was deleted from the RUN area of the register.

That @$^#^ keeps reappearing in msconfig and every other startup
program (startup cop, absolute startup, etc.) that I've tried. I was
hoping it wasn't some mysterious spyware program and still don't think
it is but why oh why does it keep re-writing itself into the startup
on boot?

This in on a WinXP system ...

Such behavior defines malware in my book but u'll
believe what u wanna believe ( again by definition) !

Lots of free stuff to remove it if I or some1 else
changes ur mind.

Msconfig wont prevent it,you'll need to go to run,type:services.msc In msc,
scroll to the program,double click on it,then change from auto start to
disable,
then in upper L.,stop the service,close out.You should also,try search in
my com-
puter,type in the name,search hidden files as well,make sure all names get
entered,then delete all.

First eliminate any scumware.
CAUTION!!!!! Before you try to remove spyware using any of these programs ,
download a copy of LSPFIX from any of the following sites:

(if your OS is Win2k or XP) The process of removing certain malware may kill

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
