program hijacking my modem

Hi,
I have loaded a media program which keeps accessing the
net. It would bring up the modem connection box whenever I
start the computer. How do stop the porgram from
hijacking my modem connection. I have Zone alarm and
Sygate. they both seems not to do anything. meantime,It
slows down the computer significantly.

Look everywhere in the program's options to see if
you have granted it some sort of call-home behavior.
