Hey everyone...

Can anyone tell me the original folders in the Program
Files folder (meaning the ones that come with Windows
XP)? I want to purge my system of anything extraneous but
I also don't want to get rid of any software I have
installed. Thanks!

Don't delete anything from in there. Use add/remove programs to uninstall
software you don't want.

Running disk clean up may help if you are short of disk space. Also,
lowering the number of days web file sare kept may help in this regard (plus
lots of other things if space is your problem)

Also there are lots of tools on the market that suggest they can do this job
for you, but I would use them with caution and make sure you backup your
date first.
 
Hi Dana,

Listen to RAY - use the add/remove you should never delete anything from the
PROGRAM FILES folder. Those days of DOS are gone where you could simply
delete the folder.
