I am using XP Home SP2

I know how to access the program events list and associate whichever sound
file I want, that part is easy.

My problem is that the program events list no longer contains the events
that were there before.

For example Microsoft Money is listed as a program event but the "launch"
event it not listed.

Is there a means of editing or adding/subtracting to the program events
list.

Thanks ever so much

Does the service started in the services control panel, like this:
Open a run command and type in:
services.msc click [OK]
Locate this service.
Event Log and see if it start Auto.
Also have a look on the service above it:
Error reporting

Read these info below:

The event log stops logging events before reaching the maximum log size

Both "event log" and "error reporting" are listed and shown as automatic
start

I think you have misunderstood the question. Select Control Panel,
Sounds and Audio Devices, and Sounds and you will see the Program Event
List referred to! In Google I found one solution which involves a
registry edit.

I didn't understand the question first time around. I only grasped it's
meaning after I read your response.

Thanks very much, Gerry

That was what I was looking for. Haven't quite got it the way I want it
yet, but close.
Saving the themes seems to be a bit confusing but you have go me pointed in
the right direction.
