Program Crash

Word 2003 crashes often during an automated procedure. I have noticed that
it happens just about when I can expect the undo memory limit warning would
appear and if I call an automated process, the program crashes. I am able to
avoid the crash by "saving as", closing the file, and then reopening the
file. Is this a known issue for this program? Is there a fix or a
workaround?

What kind of "automated procedure" are you referring to? A VBA macro? For
assistance with macros, ask in a programming newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.word.vba.general.
