Program Access & Defaults

I'm using XP and Office 2000 and want to make Outlook the
default mail app. In the "Program Access and Default"
window, the program choices are locked and cannot be
changed. How do I "unlock" these choices to choose
Outlook?

Hi Joe,

See if this helps: Go to Start/Run and type in:

"c:\program files\microsoft office\office\outlook.exe" /checkclient

Then go to IE tools, internet options, programs and select Outlook as your
default email client.
