Profile Recovery

I wanted to protect my users profiles with a recovery
program which allowed me to customize what files I want
backed up. Which files would I have to include making
profile recovery possible? For example, a user logs in and
finds that Windows has created a new profile for him with
the extension jsmith.000 and his old profile with his
files and setting sits in Document and setting under the
jsmith. I want to recovery the jsmith profile and get rid
of the jsmith.000 by bring the system back to a previous
state, but I must tell this tool what files need to be
backed up. Hope you guys can help me out on this.
