Profile Prompt not always prompting

D

Doc

I have MS Office Outlook 2007. I have Configured Outlook to prompt me to
choose a profile when I start MS Outlook. It will do so when I first open
it. If I want to go to another profile, in the past would simply close
Outlook and re-open it and the prompt would appear again. The prompt has
stoped appearing and just reopens the profile I was last in. I then have to
close everything I have open and sign out as a user. Resign in, then start
Outlook again to get the profile prompt. I've had Outlook 2007 installed for
months and no issues - what is causing this to happen all of a sudden?
Solutions or guidance....

Is Outlook fully closing before you try to reopen it? Check the task list to
be sure

Yes - Also verified the Windows Task Manager. It does not appear after I
have closed outlook.

Hi

Please follow the below steps..

2) Delete/Rename the following files from your profile

a) *.OST

b) *.OAB (should be ~ 5 files)

c) *.DAT (extend.dat and outcmd.dat)

d) *.NK2 (nickname Cache)

e) *.FAV (favorites in outlook)

f) *.SRS (send receive settings)

3) Close and Restart outlook.

4) Press F9 to do a synchronization.

5) All the files would be regenerated

Please go to control panel -> double click on Mail icon -> Click Show
Profiles -> select Prompt for a profile under when starting microsoft office
outlook.
Post the above steps .. each time you open outlook it will prompt for the
profile name to be used.
