professional: Setup Blue Screens @ HD selection screen

When setup displays all the logical disks (hard drive)
selection screen and partition viewer it blue screens
immediately.

This happens repeatedly using either a Maxtor 120GB or a
Seagate 120GB.

Maxtor 120GB was brand new/out of box.
Seagate 120GB was used previously in an XP Professional
box and has one partition the whole size of the HD.

I ending up install W2k on a 1.4gb until I can figure out
why I am getting a blue screen during installation on to
a large hard drive.

MY MB has no problems with these hard drives. I have a
Gigabyte GA-7VTXH+ BIOS version: F5

Any advice?

Thank you,
John Wetsell

Stop 0x24 NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
I fianlly found a Knowledge Base Article 228888 that I
believe has the problem and solution for this.
Apparently the NTFS.sys is corrupt. The workaround is
not pretty.

I need to load Windows 2000 on to a FAT 32 (ONLY) machine
and then follow the directions.
