Hi all. hope you can help.

I have bought a new pc from pcspecialist with vista already loaded on and
working. When I go into any office package e.g. word it asks me for the
product key. I enter the one supplied with the disk and all I get is a
message saying incorrect product key.

Am I missing something?

Which key supplied on the disk? I assume you are using the correct key for
that version of office, and not one for a different product. Did you get it
from a trustworthy source? If so, you might want to call Microsoft
activation.

Verify you are using the Office key and not the Windows key.
They are different and not interchangeable.

Look very closely, I-1, G-6, B-8, O-0 and others look alike.
Have someone else try, sometimes another set of eyes and fingers can
get it.

Otherwise contact the seller to verify you have the correct key.

Are you perhaps supplying the key from the Vista disk rather than the Office
xxxx disk. They are separate. The Vista key may be on a label on the
computer chassis but the Office key should be on the Office package.
