Product Key Help

I recently tried installing Service Pack to on my Windows XP Pro system. I
kept getting an error msg stating that my product key is invalid. After
doing some research, I came to the conclusion that the software was pirated.
Will I need to purchase and reinstall windows xp to change the product key so
that I can install sp2?

I suppose going back to the supplier and asking for a non-pirated copy of
the software you believed you were paying for at the time is out of the
question? Because thats where i'd start!

You'll need to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP Professional
and proceed with a "Repair Install".

Hi Robert...

Thanks for the quick reply...

I thought of doing just as yourself and going back to the store at which I
purchased my PC...unfortunately, I purchase it when I was living in Jamaica.
I did have a friend try and contact the owner for me as they were friends and
he is the one who recommended that I support this individual's first business
venture...little did I know that I would've received a duped copy of XP Pro.
So all means of contacting the person are, at this point, null and void.

Thanks again for the reply...keep in touch!!!
