Product key for win-XP HOME EDITION lost !!

While installing win-XP HOME EDITION in my system, on
entering the product key, an error message--"incorrect
product key entered" is displayed..
Probably the product key that i have for my win-XP HOME
EDITION CD is wrong..
I really dont know, but is it possible to provide me the
correct PRODUCT KEY for the same so that installation of
that XP HOME EDITION can be completed successfully...
if not, then whats the alternate way to install XP home
edition with that CD???
please help

"alternate way to install XP home"?
There is none.
You need the correct key.
Has this Product Key worked with this CD before?

Are you using the Product Key that came with that CD?
There are different types of each and they are not interchangeable.
Look very closely, 0-O, I-1. S-5 and others look alike.
Have someone else try, sometimes another set of eyes and fingers can
get it right.
