I am looking at buying a laptop, I am looking at getting one with an Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor, (1.6GHz) with 2Gb memory, the only thing that concerns me is that it won't be enough to run Adobe CS3 packages, which I use occasionally. Other than that, I only would use it for watching films, and surfing the internet.
Does anybody have any thoughts - am I being paranoid, is this going to be sufficient?

If you are only using it for Adobe CS3, films and the net then that laptop is fine :) 2GB of ram is the key thing when using graphics apps.

i'll second that. Laptop CPU's (processors) are optimised for mobile use, they have a lower clock speed to save on power consumption and usually a larger L1/L2 cache to compensate for the lower clock speed. The above CPU is roughly equilivant to a 3Ghz desktop CPU.

Hey Joe that sounds ideal mate, and as Ian has already mentioned 2gb of ram is gonna suit you down to the ground for image manipulation...

Go for it...

cheers guys, looks like it's this one then!
i found it for 530GBP, which is about $1100, which i thought was pretty good for 2G ram (in the UK, at least!)
thanks for your help guys!
