I am new to windows and do not know much about the various processors.
Software usually comes with a statement such as "Pentium 166 or higher". Is
there a list of processors to see where you fall in the list. I am using an
Intel Celeron M 1500 mhz.

Hi,

You're well above the minimum. A P-166 is actually "old" by standards today,
even though it's only ~7-8 years old.

A Celeron is a type of Pentium, and 1500 is *way* faster than 166. That
should be adequate for anything you find around.
