Processor Hog

I am having a problem with 'cisvc.exe' hogging the processor. Every time I
re-boot pretty soon I hear the fan going at full blast and pc is as slow as
the day is long whearupon I press cont+alt+delt to bring up the info box to
see what's going on and sure enough there's cisvc.exe using fully 100% of
processor. So of course I click end process and after Windows scolds me for
ending a process I can get on with my buisness. My question is; why is this
doing this? I did do some reading on this and from what I gathered it is a
memory leak, whatever that means. They also went on to say that SP2 would
take care of the problem. It didn't. So what can I do ?

Click on Start, Run, type in services.msc click OK. Find Indexing Service in the list, right click and select Properties. First stop the service, then in the Startup type drop down box select Disabled.

OK, how do I go about turning it off entirely?

:

Disable the indexing service under services. Go Start | Run. Type in
services.msc, click ok. Scroll down to indexing service, right click on
it, choose Properties. First Stop it, then under Startup type choose
Disabled. Ok out.
