RTFM.

The manual of the motherboard (usually available online at the manufacturers
web page) will tell you what processors the motherboard will accept. Just
because you have the right socket type, voltage, fsb and everything else
does not mean that the BIOS would accept a processor at the given speed or
of a given type.

You tell the old fashion way.
