Processing taking a really long time

I just installed office 2007. I'm using an Excel 07 workbook that has links
to 03 workbooks. Whenever I sort or do subtotals it takes 15 minutes plus to
process/complete.

I've got all the current updates installed.

Welcome to the club.
Any improvement if you convert the other workbooks to 2007? Or convert
the 2007 workbook to 2003?

No, in fact, I just opened an 03 spreadsheet that had subtotals in it (but no
links to 07 workbooks) and waited another 15 minutes.
