problems

Can anyone suggest why sending messages from outlook express cannot be
received by Windows mail? It is able to receive messages from other email
accounts ie hotmail but can't get anything through from outlook express and
the messages are not bounced back either!

No, I can't think of a reason for that to happen.
Email is supposed to be universal, i.e., the receiving program
should not care which sending program created that email.
Something else is going on that you haven't told us about.
