Problems

I am happy to report that I finally got the updated version of FP installed
on my computer. Problems though....I updated one of my web pages and it won't
get rid of the FP filename in front of the filename (images). So no images
show up on the page on the web site because all image file names are like
this:
FrontPage Files/heart.gif. The box to save the files does not come up
anymore automatically so that I can click on what I need to do get rid of
that so that it just says 'heart.gif'. If I try to edit the HTML and delete
'FrontPage Files' from the name then the images do not show up in the
'design' window. So I add them back, one by one. It's a mess. How do I fix
this? The files are imported into Front Page that I am using.

Second problem. Ever since I installed Microsoft Office 2003 (that includes
the FrontPage 2003) I keep getting messages in IE and AOL that there is an
error on the page and do I wish to debug?? Any ideas or solutions?? I tried
to fill in the 'search' box in AOL today and with EVERY LETTER I typed in
that message would come up. Help! Please.........

In Internet Exploder:

Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced

Check "Disable Script Debugging" (two options)
Uncheck "Display a notification about every script error"

You probably have them in a folder called; FrontPage Files

Yes, I have a web site and the files are there already. I was just updating
this page, it is my site map page. I just installed the FP 2003. No other
version has been installed on this computer at all, so it has nothing to do
with that. Look at the page source and you'll see what I mean...any images
say 'FrontPage Files/imagename.jpg', so the web server isn't being directed
to it right.
I had this problem when I first started using FP 2000 5 years ago but I
can't remember how I solved the problem. I know it has something to do with
the 'Save Embedded Files' box but I can't get the box to come up at all to
save them to a different folder.

Rob (in the next post) said they might be in a file named FrontPage Files,
they are but I can't get them to go into the file to where they will just
have the name 'image.jpg'.

I did go and take the course in Microsoft called 'Insert graphics in
FrontPage' but it was no help with this, the 'save embedded files' box just
won't open and I can figure out how to get rid of that part of the filename.

When you open your web in FrontPage, is there a folder called "FrontPage
Files"? Have you tried importing all the images into a folder in your web
(ex: "images") and then inserting them from there?

I had the file on my old computer, I downloaded that file to my flash drive,
and then imported the file into FP. I had named the file 'FrontPage Files' on
my old computer. The page I am working on was also in that file.
I just now went into FP and clicked on 'open site' to make sure that page is
a web in this FP also. The first thing that comes up is the contents of that
file. There are two screens, one is the 'Folder List' and the other is the
'Web Site' screen. The web site screen lists every file within the FrontPage
Files file.

I had downloaded it onto my computer into my 'Web Pages' file, thinking
everything would be in the same place and easy to find. The Titles of the
files in the Web Site view start with web pages/FrontPage Files.....

Do I need to move the images into the 'images' folder, and how??

You don't need to move them unless you want to. When you say you opened the
web, did you open your local copy (on your hard drive) or the "live" copy on
your web host's server? You need to open the live copy (File, Open Site,
http://www.countryheart37.com/ ) and see if the FrontPage Files folder is
there. If it isn't then you need to open your local site and Publish all
the files to the web server.
