Problems with XP Help and Support

I have Windows XP and use Help and Support regularly. Now however it has two
problems:

1. The index section shows only the same image used when a web page can't
show a picture, ie: a small box with a red cross through it, nothing more
(so no actual index).

2. When I click on a Related Topics link it doesn't take me anywhere, it
just puts more "notes" icons on the screen (inside Help and Support) next to
existing ones.

Any help will be gratefully received...
