Problems with Word 2002 opening

Word 2002 program has just started, today, to take a very long time to open
(10 minuets) no other programs running. I have run the repair from my
control panel, add/remove programs. this has not helped. Resources in
memory are almost 100% available.

Any ideas what is happening to the startup?
