Problems with Windows Mail

Although I am getting email, it is not being displayed properly. Mail comes
into my inbox and I can see the number increasing but I can't see my mail.

Have tried ensuring that settings show 'show all' even when off line and
this was working temporarily however when I clicked out of my inbox all my
mail disappeared.

It was recommended on this forum that I disable my email scanning of my
antivirus software, see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 - I still can't receive
my mail and now nothing happens when I do 'send and receive'.

Go to the Inbox and click View | Current View. Make sure that "Show all
messages" is checked and that nothing else is checked.

Hello Frank

Seems like the installation of McAfee on my pc was the problem (see
www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3). I have now uninstalled this and I can see my
emails fine now.

Pretty annoying though - would love to know why Dell are sending out Vista
machines with a 30 day trial of McAfee installed on them when it is known to
cause a problem.

In this life, one thing counts
In the bank, large amounts
I'm afraid these don't grow on trees,
You've got to pick-a-pocket or two
You've got to pick-a-pocket or two, boys,
You've got to pick-a-pocket or two.

Because McAfee pays them to.
