Problems with USB stick

whenever I connect an USB stick the system shuts down. Is
there a way to fix this?
 
Uninstall the USB devices and restart.

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the device, Action menu,
"Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers again
automatically.
