Problems with upgrade to XP

William Savage

A co-worker tried installing Windows XP over the top of a
2K installed laptop. The install was not completed and
now when I turn the computer on it comes up to a black
screen with a menu of whether to use XP or 2K. How do I
get rid of the partial XP installation. I want to restore
the system to the way it was the day before she did
whatever she did to the computer.

I did the same thing, you now have two Operating Systems
if you look about the middle of your screen, you should
see that the defalt Operating System is highlighted and
press enter, it should boot to Xp since it was the last
installation,to go to 2000, press the down arrow (keys to
the right) and press enter, it should go to 2000, you
can't go back, you will probable have to Format.
