Problems with taskbar in XP

Since last week none of the programs running on my
computer show up along the bottom of the screen anymore
on the taskbar.... Don't know why, maybe i changed
something by accident? if i use "alt-Tab" i can still
toggle bettween programs but since they don't show up on
the taskbar it's hard to see which programs i have
running at the present time. Anyone have any ideas what's
wrong?

Hi Marc,

This seems to be due to the Media Player updates. If you could, export this
key and send it via e-mail. I have been troubleshooting this for weeks.

When you find out what causes this would you please post it?
I would like to have this "Feature" available to use on occasion.

I'd also like the option to get currently running programs out of my
taskbar. Would prefer not to update Media Player, though - that might
encourage it.
