Problems with Stored usernames and passwords in windows XP Pro

I have found a few postings with similar problems with no resolution
posted, so I'm hoping that someone knows of a solution for this.
Basically the problem I'm having is that a workstation stopped storing
usernames and passwords in IE for sites that you would need to log
into. Also I noticed that under "Stored User Names and Passwords"
under Manage Passwords in the advanced tab of user accounts, there is
nothing in there, and no Add button.
Have tried clearing out all temp files/passwords/form data etc and
rebooting with no luck. Also tried the steps at the following link
with no change:http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_oe_passwords.htm
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks!!

Well, for anyone who cares, there is a solution to this problem. There
is a registry key called "disabledomaincreds" under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
If it is set to "1" it will not save passwords, so set it to "0" and
your problem is solved.
Not sure what caused it to change, but this took care of it right away.
