problems with start up of windows 2000

Heather

We just upgraded to Windows 2000 professional and after
several problems, we received a message that we needed to
do an update for windows so that some of our devices were
compatible with windows 2000. In the middle of the
upgrade the computer rebooted and now we can't get the
computer to completely finish the start up process... the
error reads as follows:

Windows 2000 could not start because the following file
is missing or corrupt:
<windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
please re-install a copy of the above file

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, heather

Sounds like you need to get a computing professional in there to take a look
at what you currently have and recommend what you need to do to get to where
you want to go.
