Problems with Outlook 2007

M

Maria

Two problems:

1. When I try to access my mail directly through the Comcast.net web page,
there are no messages. There were no problems accessing mail before
setting up Outlook 2007 account on new computer.

2. I have Outlook Express 2003 on another computer and it does not receive
messages since I set up Outlook 2007 on new computer.

I removed the new Outlook 2007 account when I noticed the problems, but the
problems persisted. I have since set up a new account again.

Thanks for your help

What do you consider to be the problem?

Normal. You must specifically tell the POP mail client, be it Outlook or
Outlook Express (and there is no "Outlook Express 2003", by the way), that
you wish to leave copies of downloaded messages on the server. The normal
behavior is for the POP client to delete the messages from the server once
they are downloaded. If you run Outlook and it downloads and deletes
messages, then they won't be on the server and you won't be able to see them
with another POP client or using the web interface (which explains 1.
above).

If you want Outlook to leave a copy on the server so you can download it on
another PC or view it on the web, then configure it that way. It's on the
Advanced tab of the account properties.
