Problems with onboard Sound Card

I have a sound card that is built into my motherboard.
All drivers have been installed, deleted and reinstalled
several times through Device Manager. Device Manager
displays working drivers when they are reinstalled.
However, when ANY type of music is attempting to play, I
get an error message. This message details that I do not
have a sound card installed. The manufacturer and the
retailer in which I bought the motherboard says it is a
problem with Windows.
