Problems with mouse....HELP

I am having a problem with my Logitech mouse. When you right click, the menu
is invisible. You see a shadow of the box but nothing in the box. When you
scroll the mouse over the box, you can read what is in the box (cut, paste,
properties). I have run diagnostics on the mouse (it is working properly),
made sure the drivers are up to date, checked all the settings for the mouse.
Everything is as it should be. I get the same thing when I left click the
mouse. For example, if I click on File, you get the shadow outline of the
menu. If you move your mouse over the menu, you can see all the menu items.
This is only happening in the Owner's account and is very frustrating. The
other account on the machine has the mouse running as it should.

I have done a virus check, an adware check and a malware check. Everything
is fine. I have replaced the logitech mouse with a back-up mouse (a
non-logitech regular mouse but it does the same thing), uninstalled the
logitech mouse and reinstalled it - but the problem still remains. Am I
missing something? Does anyone have any suggestions on what can be done?

Thanks in advance.

I would try going to Logitech site and getting the latest Software. I
have a Logitech myself and just recently did this.
Uninstall the old software and either reinstall or get the lastest.

Hi

Have you downloaded/installed the latest compatible XP drivers for your
mouse from the Logitech web site?

Rich and Will:

I went to the Logitech site and downloaded the newest/latest/greatest
software. At first, I had the same problem. Then the "duh" moment hit. I
shut down the computer completely and restarted it (as I said....DUH....how
could you forget something like that!). As a child I was a blonde - Oh no -
Don't tell me all the blonde jokes are right :) Bottom line is everything
works like it should now.

Real mystery....why did this only happen in the Owner's account and not the
other account on the computer if they both use the same mouse and same
software? Strange. The more I learn about computers, the more I feel I
don't know anything about computers. They seem to have a mind of their own
at times.

Thanks a ton for your help.
